“Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it”

1 Thessalonians 1:1-5

The church is not an organization, but best described as an organism meaning that which is alive, an entity, a body. Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy addresses the church of the Thessalonians, a community of believers, as being in God the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ, “….unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”  So the church is of the LORD, from the LORD, and by the LORD.
