If God Said It Then Why Not Believe It

John 1: 1-16

We recently listened to some podcast on the assurance of salvation. And they were good. And as I listen to them, I realized the real issue. They do not touch the heart of the problem. The problem is what mankind uses as their authority.

The reason I say this is because people develop their own reasoning regarding what the Bible has to say about salvation and the assurance of salvation. Islam has their point, Buddhism, and Hinduism have their point. And so do all religions regardless of the name they carry. They all have their view point, whether Baptist, Methodist, Church of God, Seventh Day Adventist, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witness and there are other religion, the lodge is a religion. Some people will develop their own religion. How often do you hear, “this is what I believe”… But what matters is what God has to say!
