Impossible/Possible, The Eye of the Needle:

Scripture Reading: Matthew 19:16-28; Mark 10: 17-27; Luke 18:18-27

There is no Gate: We have often heard about a gate, where a Camel had to get on their knees in order to go through this gate. And had to be stripped of its cargo in order to get through. The analogy is made to riches keeping one from entering the gate. The problem with this story about a gate is simply this: There is no such gate.  In the study of Archaeology around the city of Jerusalem there is no such gate … [The phrase “eye of a needle” appears in the synoptic Gospels (Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25). This metaphor is used by Jesus to show what is impossible and yet possible
