To murmur  is to complain, Numbers 11:1 "And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD..." It is the result of unbelief  If you are to enjoy fellowship with the LORD it will come by believing Him.  He has been faithful to every promise He ever made.  How serious is murmuring: the LORD called them an "...evil congregation..", Numbers 14:35. What was lacking in their life: A Right spirit, , "But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him .." Number 14:24 . , Your spirit belongs to the LORD as well as your body, "...glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are God's", 1 Corinthians 6:20.  What was lacking in their life: Obedience"...and hath followed me fully..." Number 14:24. All the prayers in the world will not make up for disobedience.  What else was lacking in their life: Sacrifice, every thing was about them: Their comfort, their food, their time, their fears, their thoughts, their plans.  One of the best ways to get rid of selfishness is to worship the LORD. Worship involves more than just going to church but it does include going to a Gospel Preaching Church.

What they did have was an "Evil Heart of unbelief,"  "Take heed, brethren lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God."  Hebrews 3:12.

"(There are eleven days journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadesh - barnea.)" Deuteronomy 1:2.  (Kadesh - barnea the place of entrance to the promised land).  Thus showing us that the distance was not the reason it took forty(40) years to enter the land.

From that fateful act of disobedience, which lasted forty(40) days until the time they entered the Promised Land, the Lord provided for them. However, His will was that they were to be in the land flowing with milk and honey.

The same is true of the Church today!  The Promise Land is not Heaven but the rather the Christ filled life now.  The question we must answer: Are we dwelling in the place of His blessing Or Are we wandering in the wilderness enjoying His provision but missing His purpose for our life.

With our LORD there is the opportunity to Trust Him and have our course changed!

Every thing starts with taking the time to worship Him;  Who is not only our Creator but our Redeemer,  "This is the promise he hath promised us, eternal life."

Some dates and times we remember with much emotion.  Such as birthdays, anniversaries, death of a loved one, specials happenings (such as 9/11) etc..

In those dates we must include Calvary because it was there that God in His Love did something very special for us.  "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and santification, and redemption: 1 Corinthians 1:30. According to this verse, you were put in Christ at the Cross.
Why will any be lost: because they did not believe that God included them in Christ at the cross!

Tomorrow we worship the One Who loved us and died for us - Please join us.
